Alejandra is a well-respected and sought-after defense investigator in the Bay Area. With over 25 years of experience, she has become the investigator of choice for defense attorneys. As a former workers’ comp investigator, she worked with clients such as Applied Underwriters, Inc., State Compensation Insurance Fund, and Zurich, N.A.
Beyond her vast experience, Alejandra is fully bilingual, enabling her to conduct effective, efficient interviews with Hispanic communities and key witnesses in criminal defense cases. Importantly, as a bilingual and bicultural investigator, she is adept at navigating language and cultural complexities and barriers commonly encountered in the Hispanic community.
Alejandra began her investigative career in Los Angeles, where she exclusively investigated workers’, compensation claims for Ralph's Grocery Stores. After relocating to the Salinas Valley, she focused on providing investigative services to Western Growers Insurance Company, with an emphasis on the area's agricultural industries. Over the past 18 years, she has been with the San Mateo County Private Defender Program, conducting indigent defense investigations. She is currently on the CJA Federal and San Francisco Bar Association panels.
Alejandra holds a BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix and is certified as a Workers' Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) by the Insurance Education Association. She has received recognition for her volunteer work from Rota Care Bay Area and the County of Marin.
In her free time, she regularly volunteers as an interpreter at a free clinic, Rota-Care in San Rafael, California. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her Rat-terrier Chihuahua, Mateo, and swimming in open water at China Camp.
